What is the MELT Method?

The MELT Method® (MELT®) is a simple self-treatment technique that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful and active for a lifetime.

New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living; a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide whole-body support, protection, and mind-body communication which addresses the true cause of pain, not just the symptoms.

What causes “Stuck Stress”?

Daily living causes “stuck stress” (connective tissue dehydration) which creates inflammation, inhibits mobility, increases risk of injury and interferes with the body’s ability to heal itself. Regardless of whether you sit at a desk all day, exercise regularly, practice yoga / meditation, or eat well and drink kale smoothies- you will still have stuck stress! Even if you are not experiencing pain, the effects of cellular dehydration will still be slowing you down.

These are all precursors to pain, and whilst we learn to live with a low-level discomfort on a daily basis, it’s really not ok to feel this way. Often we blame having children for our tiredness and fatigue, or attribute stiff joints to the aging process. Despite our beliefs that it is ‘normal’ to feel in less than optimal health, we do not have to accept these functional conditions. We should feel good in our bodies and be able to enjoy life… even more so in our retirement!

The MELT Method has enabled me to live pain free. Having Rheumatoid Arthritis and working as a massage therapist is not the most sensible idea, but I didn’t want to give up the job I loved- and why should I?! Over the years, I have managed my autoimmune disease with diet and exercise and haven’t resorted to medication. This has been a life saver! Despite using the natural approach successfully, I still experienced the odd ‘niggle’ and this indicated to me that I needed to do more. By using the MELT balls on a daily basis, I have been able to eliminate all 10 signs of stuck stress! But most importantly, MELT has made me prioritise self-care and ‘me time’.
