Donna has a passion for helping people with massage after experiencing first-hand the benefits of clinical massage for chronic illness.

After qualifying in 2010 in Full Body Massage, Donna continued her professional development- going on to train in various massage techniques such as Swedish, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Natural Lift Facial and Indian Head massage.

As Donna’s client base grew, the need for further training became apparent as clients were presenting with both acute and chronic pain conditions that required more specific skills.

Stumbling upon a little known technique, Donna qualified in Myofascial Release (MFR) and found this to be the missing piece when reducing her patient’s pain.

After a year of getting amazing results with MFR, Donna embarked on a year of clinical massage with Jing Institute, training in advanced techniques from around the world, while simultaneously training in Advanced MFR.

Donna continued to train with Jing, taking on her biggest challenge yet- The BTEC 6 Professional Diploma in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage (Degree level). This is currently the highest level of training available in the UK. It raised the professional standards of massage and brought Donna’s training to that of a Physiotherapist, Osteopath and Chiropractor.

In 2015, Donna passed with an overall distinction honours and also received a distinction for her dissertation on Cranio Sacral Therapy for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

But the training doesn’t end there! There is always more to learn and Donna is committed to developing and progressing, as well as maintaining her excellent standards. In January 2016, Donna began a twelve month course in Advanced Musculoskeletal Anatomy, as well as further training in TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) disorders while continuing to advance in MFR and scar release work.

A massage session with Donna will focus on releasing restrictions, improving range of movement and decreasing pain, whilst incorporating relaxation and restoring balance to the nervous system- this aims to help facilitate the body’s own healing process.

About Chichester Clinical Massage

“After suffering with sciatica for years I had tried most things and accepted that I may need to just live with the pain. After seeing Chichester Clinical Massage’s website, I thought I’d give Donna a try – I had nothing to lose! After the first session, I was in less pain and reduced my pain relief medication. After 3 weekly sessions, the pain was almost gone and I was able to cycle again.”
